Wenhua Night Market is one of Chiayi City's most famous and bustling areas. It begins from the central fountain, a renowned “mecca of democracy”, and extends south towards Wenhua Road. The street is lined with shops and becomes restricted to pedestrians only at 7 PM, when street vendors and tantalizing delicacies set up shop. Wenhua Road is transformed into a lively night market, the center of delicious cuisine, and Chiayi's nightlife.
